In order to acquire project documentation of for the construction of the buildings and while taking into account the urbanistic and historical importance of the location and the extent of construction works, the management of the Charles university in Prague decided to announce an architectural competition or design tender according to the Act on Public Contracts and the Competition Rules of the Czech Chamber of Architects.
Pursuant to §102 of the Act on Public Commissions and the Contest Code of the Czech Chamber of Architects, the sponsor calls for the design contest via the contest administrator. Then, pursuant to §23 section 6 of the Act on Public Commissions, the sponsor appoints the contractor of all degrees of the project documentation, and thus also the relevant project activities.
In cooperation with the Czech Chamber of Architects, the conditions of the contest were set, and the design contest was publicly announced pursuant to the Act on Public Commissions and the Contest Code of the Czech Chamber of Architects.
On September 1, 2015, the Architectural contest for the design of Campus Albertov - Biocentrum, Globcentrum was published in the Public Tender Journal and on the sponsor’s profile page.
On July 17, 2015, the Preliminary announcement was published in the Public Tender Journal and on the sponsor’s profile page.
On September 16, 2015, the “Seminar on the design contest” was organized, together with the informal meeting of the academia and the representatives of the sponsor – “Information on the development of the Campus Albertov project.”
