Foundation work continues at the Biocentrum site within the Albertov Campus. By the end of September, the construction team had drilled 156 foundation piles and completed 12 geothermal boreholes. These have already undergone outfitting — the installation of necessary pipes and reinforcement — as well as pressure grouting to ensure their strength and long-term functionality. A total of 48 boreholes will be installed.
The team has also completed the final activation of steel struts, which stabilize the excavation pit and prevent soil collapse. In the coming weeks, workers will remove the excavated soil and continue preparing concrete bases — known as crane footings — for the first tower crane.
The first of several cranes essential for the next phase of construction is expected to arrive on site within a few weeks. You can follow the progress of the construction live via our livecam.
