Rescue archaeological research at the Biocentrum construction site on the Charles University Albertov Campus has been successfully completed.
This followed on from the supervision that took place in May 2024, during which archaeological sites were documented, including traces from the early medieval and prehistoric periods. The research also provided valuable insights into the early modern settlement period, when the Albertov slopes were used as gardens and vineyards.
The completion of the archaeological work paves the way for construction of the future Biocentrum building to continue. The results have also deepened our understanding of the site's history, as it is transformed into a modern university centre.
Biocentre is financially supported by the National Restoration Plan; Investment identification number: Z332802000005.
