Preparations for the first crane are nearing completion

Construction work on the Biocentre at the Albertov Campus is continuing at a rapid pace. By mid-October, 205 of the 267 planned piles that form the building's basic support structure had already been drilled. Meanwhile, 19 of the 48 geothermal wells required for ecological heating have been completed.

Workers are also clearing the site of soil and steel elements from the former chlorination station to make way for further construction. The construction pit is gradually being drained using pumping wells, for which the distribution system is currently being installed. The first concrete base for the crane has been completed, and work is underway on the second.

The first crane is expected to be erected on the construction site by the end of October, after which it will be used to handle heavy construction elements during the construction of the above-ground parts of the Biocentrum.
