The underground works at the Biocentrum site have just passed two key milestones. In recent days, the piling rig wrapped up its mission – all 267 piles are now in place.
On St. Martin’s Day, the team also finished drilling the last, forty-fourth geothermal borehole. The work doesn’t stop there, though – excavation continues for the horizontal connections of the geothermal system.
As you can see in the attached photo, excavation is also underway in the northern part of the site to build the channels for the third underground floor. Materials for pipeline installation have already been delivered, and preparations for tensioning the second level of anchors are progressing behind the former chlorination station.
Meanwhile, the construction site is gearing up for the above-ground phases of the Biocentrum. A second tower crane will be assembled next week, and the base for a third one – which will stand close to Albertov Street – is already ready.
