On 26 March 2024, the Bursar of Charles University, Martin Maňásek, together with representatives of the company that won the over-limit public tender, signed the contract for the construction of the Biocentre. The general contractor of the construction is the Association DGZ Biocentrum Albertov, which consists of the companies Metrostav DIZ, GEOSAN GROUP and Zlínstav. The concluded contract was published the following day in the Register of Contracts of the Digital and Information Agency. With the official handover of the construction site to the contractor on 3 April 2024, the construction of the Biocentre, which is part of the largest investment project of Charles University in several decades, began.
