Fish Evolution Research Group (Dr. Zuzana Musilová)

Dr. Zuzana Musilová’s group focuses on fish evolution and adaptations of sensory systems, particularly vision.

Fish living in extreme conditions often have unusual adaptations, and research on the eyes of deep-sea fish aims to reveal the limits of the vertebrate chamber eye. This may ultimately lead to insights into our own visual system.
